I fish a 5wt Ghost Tip on my bamboo rods anytime I'm going to fish Wooly Buggers or large nymphs.
I conducted an informal test one day above the Evening Pool. I fished a #10 Olive Bugger on my Ghost Tip and Jay fished a #12 on an Orvis line that was a pale lemon color. We fished side by side and I caught ten or twelve trout and Jay caught about three. Finally he left me muttering about getting some dynamite or something.
