For me catskill style dries tend to twist more than other dry fly styles. I believe that it is very important that the wings on catskills are the same length, same thickness and tied in at the same angle to the body to help prevent twisting. Flies that have pre-cut wings on them can be bad about twisting also. And note that the twisting comes during casting with dries, of course. So try limiting your false casts.
Another fly that is notorious for twisting is the wooly bugger, especially in heavy current. Not all do it, but when one does it can be very annoying. If you tie your own try putting a couple more turns of hackle on them. A bead or cone head can help. Add a little bit more of marabou to the tail. And last but not least, go to a shorter tippet and/or a heavier one.
