mid week trip to LMF

    My wife and I just returned from a Tuesday through Thursday trip to the LMF. The fishing was good all three days. We were impressed with the number and size of the fish we were able to catch. Did well using soft hackels, zebra midges, mas killer and crackel back. Seems we are catching more browns than in the past.

    Did you leave any fish for next time? Were there many people in the park while you were there?
    Think we are going to try to get up there before spring break if everyone will stay well.

    Austin,
    I can't remember ever seeing the river with more fish. They didn't all want to cooperate, but they are there on abundance. The crowds during the middle of the week are much lighter. It is good to finally be retired so we can leave the weekends to others.

    Glad you had a good trip. The browns do seem more abundant. Also glad to see the streams running again after a very long drought this past year.imageimage
