Here is a Brown Clouser tied on a size 6, #700, 1X Strong, 4X Long, Dai-Riki hook.
The eyes are 3/16" nickel/yellow Real Eyes Plus.
Starting at the bottom and working up is gray marabou, blood red marabou, various strands of flashabou and krystal flash, golden brown deer body hair and recycled squirrel tail hair. All materials are easily found except perhaps the hooks.
Overall length is about 2 3/4".
Fished slow at depth to imitate a crawdad, or shallow as an escaping minnow we hope to find a little success with this pattern at LMF. Normally this pattern is brighter using green, red, white fibers and silver flash and is quite a popular stripper, bass and salt water fly.
Questions or comments welcome.
Need help getting started tying flies, let me know.
