Has anyone heard of this company?

I just ordered their #201M Reel for my 3 weight, and am hoping it is as advertised.

For the look and price, I would figure somebody on here either has one, or had one...

Here is the ebay store link as well. There are better photos and descriptions there.

Okay folks. The reel is here, and it is AMAZING! Took it to the folks at Cabelas and they guessed that it was a $200+ reel. The value and workmanship on this thing is outstanding. Do yourself a favor and check them out for yourself!

That is a good looking reel, hopefully the drag is good. I'll have to add that to my favorites.

Put the reel through the grinder this weekend. It got dunked, sand in it, and had 50 fish take me to the reel. It held up like a champ! I just ordered their #202M reel for my 5 weight. My Okuma is getting demoted to the fly bag.

Got the #202M reel in and it is equally incredible. Anyone who passes up on purchasing one of these gems is doing themselves an injustice.

Just put the order for a 202M reel in for one for my 5wt TFO. Thanks for the suggestion. It looks like a beautiful reel.

YOU DON’T NEED A WEEK’S PAYCHECK TO AFFORD IT.
That is true. I'll definitely consider these if I get another rod in the future. I like the fact that they are machined and not cast.

I have 4 of these reels 2-100 series and 2-200 series, and give them great reviews, i can't kill'em and from Navajo Dam to Boca Grande, I have tried. Don't want to sound like a commercial, but they have served me exceptionaly well.

Got mine in and it is a beauty. Even my son got jealous, and he just got a new TFO set a few months back. I am going to get some Rio Gold this week for my trip next week to the LMF. Looking forward to using it. I'm going to spend a few weeks in CO and WY this summer. Hope to wear it out then.

    Thanks for suggesting it.

I just found a helluva nice 4pc 3 wt in Cabela's Bargain Cave that needed a bit of epoxy on one of the ferrules for next to nothing. The reel will cost a couple dollars more, but I'm gonna give it a whirl. Thanks for the tip.

I am thinking of building a 3 wt rod. Has anybody used an Anglers Roost rod blank. Any other recommendations for rod blank sources? Thanks in advance for any advice

Check out Hook and Hackle : www.hookhack.com I have been using their high floater lines for a while also. Love the color, and the price can't be beat. They put them on sale for 25 bucks now and then. Several of my friends have built rods with their rainshadow blanks, and been very happy.

I checked out Anglers Roost's store on ebay... Their rod building materials including the blanks get rave reviews.

A.R.E. is the Best. Reel. Ever. I've landed fish of all sizes on mine and love it. I'll be buying more of them.
