    Sid:
I remember the first time I meat you over 15 years ago, You thought me how to fish a river and improve my skills, but the most important thing that I learned from you was how to be kind to strangers you meet for the first time and from there they become friends.

Wish you the best of luck, and thank you for sharing your knowledge, kindness and love for fly fishing and the LMF.

Thanks for everything sid. This is James White out of Gilmer Tx. My wife and i meet you 8 yrs. ago on our first visti to the river. We used to come up every mt. but with work and the grandson, we dont get up there very much any more. I was a new fly fisher then, and you were the only one who had time to talk to me. Thank you so much for that. Although our talks were short, you showed me alot. We are going to try to make it up there before you go, the grandson is asking to go to the river. Thanks.

The best of luck to you and Peggy in your retirement,I want to thank you so much for putting up with all my newbie questions and letting me drink a cold Dr. pepper in the shop while dripping water everywhere.I too have had some medical problems lately and havent been to the Bend in a few months myself so if you and Peggy are not there my next visit you two have a good one!

My husband and I were in the shop this past weekend, you mentioned retirement to us, but I didn't realize it would be so soon. My husband thinks a lot of you and has very much enjoyed his talks with you. Every time we head that way he says the first thing he is going to do is "go see Sid." You will definitely be missed, and sweet Peggy as well. We hope you enjoy your retirement and maybe we will see you fishing the river sometime.

    Sid,
Sorry I haven't been in touch. I won't get up to the river before summer, so I''m afraid I'll miss seeing you unless you're going to hang out until the shop sells. It won't be the same. As I've said before, to me you and the LMF are a package to be forever bonded in my memories. There was always time in my day to enjoy an hour in the shop talking with you and I'll sure miss that. Take care of yourself and let Peggy give you a little advice now and then for both your sakes. May your retirement be long and enjoyable.

Sid, I know there are others who will eventually get around to thanking you and your wife for the Fly Shop. Only a higher authority knows what I've spent there. I still remember the 1 and only time I arrived up there with everything except my waders. Unreal! You fixed me up with some Hodgemans that got the job done for several years. We thank your son David for keeping this information pipeline open. I've gleaned alot of great information and if the members observed the number of bluegills/sunfish, bass, crappie, shad, catfish, etc. that I've caught with my trusty 2wt, I hope they can forgive my ultralight spinning forays up there. I really am a fly fisherman, sorta, most of the time. God bless you guys and I hope it's a smooth sale for you. Enjoy retirement. Guarantee I do.

It is sad to see this, but ya'll have shared a passion that will stay with many forever. I am one of the many and can not thank you and Peggy enough. You have inspired me to spend probably tens of thousands of dollars to chase my passion. Other than my wife, i can't think of anybody else that has done that to me. Thanks Sid and Peggy. ;-)

Ill never forget when I first went to your shop, I didnt even know you. That same day, my moms car broke down, and my dad and I were at the river. My mom called your shop, and u came and found us at the river, and told us that she needed help. You did that for a complete stranger. over the years, my dad and I always loved stopping by the shop, buying flies, and talking to u. we will miss u.
    GOD BLESS YOU

Sid, I've known you and Mrs. Peggy for over 10 years. Each time I come up there I look forward to visiting with you both as much as I do fishing. I wish you the best with what ever you do. You will sorely be missed.
